(CGS TRIAL AVAILABLE) SONIC LEGENDS - Community Fan Project

Sonic Legends is an unofficial, non-profit fan project inspired by the 2D Sonic the Hedgehog series of games. Its main goal is to update and re-invent over 20 year of history within the Sonic fangaming scene. Every featured Zone has been re-imagined for a modern outing by redesigning them from the ground up in all aspects, adding flair and polish similar to 2017’s Sonic Mania.
Beginning development in late 2017, Sonic Legends has gone through many iterations. Starting out simple as a modification for Sonic Mania, it is currently developed as a fully-fledged project within Game Maker Studio 2.

YouTube pages, we will be using this thread to post updates that are more appropriate for the formatting system forums bring in. This means that smaller progress updates and media that are less likely to hit the other pages are more likely to show up here. Either through myself or anyone working on the project currently.

The nefarious Dr. Eggman is at it again!
Just off the trickling coast at the edge of Sonic’s birthplace, Christmas Island, stands the glorious Sunrise Gate and the power source embedded deep in its majesty, Phossil - the doctor’s old go-to for his dastardly schemes. After emerging out of a Charged-up Chaos Ring; traversing through treacherous and unusual locales. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy must collect the Chaos Emeralds and put a stop to Dr. Eggman once more! The state of the Nexus Dimension is in your hands!

Currently in the process of polishing the spritework for the game, and making sure there are extra animations which help give character to... well, the characters.
Here is a quick look at how the new diagonal spring animation looks in game:
Also, the run had been finished ever since the previous look at the game in December:
So far, the progress has been going well - expect the release of the demo rather sooner than later

I like the added detail that the mech Eggman pilots looks a lot like Thirteen from twin stars

What a fantastic demo!
Legit had finished the whole demo without losing a single live.
One simple complaint tho....
WHERE IS THE SUPPORT FOR CONTROLLERS?!?!?!?!
Other than that, can't wait for the next demo and see where that entails.

turns out controller support works fine in game but just you need keyboard on menus
