YOO, the glow up is real!
I remember playing it in 2024 and wow, great job! The level design is sick, visuals are awesome, level set-pieces are also really fluid in the gameplay. Levels also being pretty long here is a rellay good thing. Like taking 3-4 mins on first two acts of a zone is a thing you wouldn't see nowadays as much lmao. Had fun exploring them! Keep it up!

This is a great demo, but one issue I've encountered with it is that it seems to lack native controller support, despite listing default controller mappings in the readme below the keyboard mappings.
I have tried to use both my 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controller and my 8BitDo Pro 2 controller and neither work with it unless I use an external program like JoyToKey.
As someone who primarily plays games with controllers, I would honestly appreciate native controller support being implemented in the future.

KGL is our friend. I take a look at the game's engine and it's pretty identical to actual Sonic disassembly engine base but it's GameMaker.

I don't know if this is out of scope for this project or if it might hard to do but if tails ever becomes a playable character in this game through any means and if there is any special stages added can the special stages for him be based on Tails Adventure and if there are no special stages some special or bonus zones/stages instead and in these zones/stages or even in all zones he has some of his abilities from that game and even some of the items which he can use

Which is code for Debug Mode? Also the level select is identical to Sonic 1 but Super Sonic when?
