Introduction
Sonic Stars is an ambitious Sonic fangame project. A 2D Classic Sonic Adventure made to emulate the era of SegaSonic games from the 32x to the Sega Saturn, complete with a dual Soundtrack with both Sega 32x emulated Chiptune and CD quality Songs.
HELP WANTED!
We at Emerald Asteroid are looking for talented Pixel Artists, Tileset and Background Artists, and Musicians to help make our vision of Sonic Stars become a reality. Pixel artists must be able to sprite in a certain 16-bit to 32-bit style, sane for Background Artists to be able to create various environments in Pixel Art. And, Musicians must be also be able to work in a DAW, more specifically FL Studio, to create music.
We are all aiming to release a work of concept build and a fully playable demo for either SAGE2024, or Chao Games Showcase 2024.

Story Synopsis

Every turn of a century, A rare event called "The Falling Star Shower" occurs over the night skies of Shooting Star Island, marking the beginning of the Star Festival there. Sonic the Hedgehog and his fox friend, Miles "Tails" Prower, arrive on the island just in time before the Festival Begins. They Run into familiar faces with Knuckles the Echidna and Amy Rose, two years after their last encounter on Angel Island. Amy even introduces everyone to Avia the Owl, a talented Tunnel Digger and Scavenger of items. Just when the festival begins and the stars began to fall, they suddenly disappear, all of the shooting stars in the night sky have vanished.
With an evil laugh echoing in the air, Dr. Eggman appears and reveals his latest most dastardly plan yet. His newly build Colossal DeathEgg has snared several planets and the missing shooting stars into it's gravitational pull. It's now up to Sonic and friends to travel through space, free the Planets from the grip of the DeathEgg, and return the shooting stars back to the skies before the entire solar system goes into chaos.
